Oh goodness, what can I say about Shelley Fabares.

Dear sweet Shelley. I learned just now of her passing on Saturday. While I'm saddened by the news, I am filled with happy memories of filming "Ride the Wild Surf" with her, Susan Hart and all the boys!

Shelley truly was a sweet, good girl. In the acting world you never know what type of people your fellow castmates may be when you start a project. It's always a treat when you find yourself among good, happy people. Us girls all shared a little bungalow on Oahu together and it was more fun than work! The whole group of us were having a ball!

My thoughts and condolences to Shelley's husband Mike Farrell and their loved ones.

JMO: @IndyCar knocked this #Freedom250 race out of the freakin' park! It was a success on numerous levels from the largest ever sports flyover to incredible media coverage that rivals the #Indy500 & #Daytona500 to the fan accessibility and even a decent product on the track.

Now, should this race continue into a year two or a 2-5yr contract like the US President apparently wants? That's certainly debatable. If DC wants it so badly (and from everything we are hearing, they absolutely & bipartisanly do), then will they put their money where their mouths are? Considering the Penske group invested millions in infrastructure for year one, that Bud Denker admitted will be sitting in storage for around $300k/month (aka, the new track walls), then the city needs to find out a way to pay for it moving forward and THEY become the promoter. IMO, that is the ONLY way #IndyCar comes back to the streets of DC successfully and without further breaking their bank.

The #Freedom250 was an incredible event and deserves additional years, but NO LONGER on IndyCar's dime! The city of DC can and should promote, sell tickets and follow the nearly turnkey blueprint of Denker and crew. Will the fanfare match year one? Likely no. But it also doesn't need to. The bottom line is that a large event has been built and can be served on a silver platter to the city so that they can capitalize on year one success, while bringing in additional fans and businesses moving forward to prove that it deserves a long term place on the schedule. Put your skin in the game, city of DC, and really show everyone that you want to play with the fast crowd!

God has been teaching me something through my sweet dog, Ranger.

When Ranger went blind and had to have both of his eyes removed, my heart broke. I wondered why this had happened to him. But today, I realized something that changed my perspective.

God sent Ranger into my life to teach me what complete trust looks like.

Ranger can’t see me anymore, but he follows my voice without hesitation. He trusts that I’ll lead him, protect him, and never leave him. He doesn’t question where we’re going or why. He simply trusts.

Watching him has made me realize that’s exactly how God wants me to trust Him.

So often I want to be in control. I want to know the plan and see what’s ahead before I take the next step. But Ranger has shown me what faith really looks like—letting go of my own control and completely trusting the One who loves me.

If my blind dog can trust me with his whole heart, then I can trust God with mine.

Thank you, Ranger, for reminding me that faith isn’t about seeing the path—it’s about trusting the One who is leading the way.
