Borders, migration, wages, land, labour, township economies and sovereignty are not isolated questions. They meet in the struggle over the material conditions of African life.

🚩 12/12 — Most importantly, the destination is emancipation.
Jacinta, March and March should look towards institutions whose political horizon is the liberation and empowerment of the African majority.

That is why Vuka Azania makes sense.

Study AfriForum’s organisational discipline from a distance, where useful. Learn from its methods without entering its political orbit, then use that knowledge to build Black power and advance African emancipation.

But if they have made overtures to you it is most likely in reaction to Vuka Azania because it is threatened by African Collectivism and institutional building.

Build with those whose destination is African sovereignty, African institutional power and African emancipation.

Sixty-two Ghanaians have died so far while fighting for Russia against Ukraine. It is not easy to criticise a person who decides to fight in a war far away from home, for a country that is not theirs, because poverty, not adventure, is the only plausible reason for doing so.

Many Africans have died fighting for Russia in this war, yet many more continue to go because desperation makes them vulnerable to recruitment. This is a tragic reminder that when African governments fail to create jobs and economic opportunities, their citizens become easy targets for foreign powers seeking expendable fighters.

Africans should not be dying in wars that have nothing to do with them simply because poverty has left them with few choices. It is deeply sad.

POLICE REQUEST ASSISTANCE IN REUNITING MISSING 32-YEAR-OLD MS MONICA COBRA WITH FAMILY

The SAPS National Bureau for Missing Persons seeks public assistance in reuniting a woman named Monica Cobra, aged 32, with her family. It is reported that Monica Cobra is a South African citizen. She was found by members of the community, wandering around the Mkhondzo area in Eswatini on 03 July 2024.

According to information, her family is believed to be in the Kwanele area in Alberton. She also has relatives living in Orland West. Anyone with information regarding her family is urged to contact the Investigating Officer, Capt Ntuli at 012 393 2003.

Cape Flats violent incidents: 14–16 August 2026:

A deadly weekend of violence was recorded across the Cape Flats, with shootings, stabbings and bodies discovered in several communities.

23 people were killed.

13 people were wounded.

Multiple incidents involved mass shootings.

Areas affected included Mitchells Plain, Hanover Park, Manenberg, Philippi, Elsies River, Delft, Khayelitsha, Nyanga and Wesbank.

Among the victims were children, including a 15-year-old and a 17-year-old boy, while a baby’s body was found in a drain in Hanover Park.

Philippi, Delft and Elsies River recorded particularly serious clusters of violence.

In Wesbank, four people were shot, leaving a 37-year-old father dead and three others wounded.

In Philippi East, four people were shot, with two killed and two critically wounded.

In Delft, two men were killed and another critically wounded.

Manenberg also recorded a stabbing death, a separate shooting and the shooting death of a dog.

The figures underline the continuing scale of violent crime across Cape Flats communities, with 36 people killed or wounded in just three days.
