I thought 'SUPERGIRL' was mostly good. But, it lacked the emotional punch of 'WOMAN OF TOMORROW' and it never elevates its villain to anything more than a tertiary character. Milly Alcock is great as Kara Zor-el and Jason Momoa is pitch-perfect as Lobo.
Visually, I think Rob Hardy does a fine job giving us a dynamic looking film with splashes of color. Admittedly, I would've loved more of that since that's such a staple of the Bilquis Evely & Mat Lopes artwork.
It's definitely not lacking in action, but more superhero movies would benefit from pulling the camera back a bit so we have a better read on what's happening.
I think I was just hoping to be more emotionally moved by this film. It's hard to separate the experience of reading the book. That said, Milly has some wonderfully emotional scenes with David Krumholtz that were big standouts for me, and the movie is at its best when it slows down and breathes.
I think general audiences will really enjoy it, but critics and comic book readers may be split on it. It definitely does NOT have me worried about future plans with this character.
only person who can tell you if supergirl is good or not is me savoftomorrow and even if it’s trash i’m still supporting it cause womens stories matter
Zohran did some risky shit bruh putting all

Cmon…the entire western leadership was caught embroiled in the sexual trafficking of children and it didn’t cause a single uprising in any Epstein regime stronghold.
I've posted all the strips in this series in (almost) chronological order on Pixiv, so now they're easily accessible. Once again, thanks again for reading all of this.
I think my favorite thing about when kpop idols do something culturally insensitive is when their most ignorant stans are like “ummm..I just found out about this ‘confederate flag’ two seconds ago. So maybe they just didn’t know. Maybe they’re just a clueless idiot like me”
as someone who lives in the deep south, the confederate flag is still everywhere. the confederacy is still glorified and the confederate flag is still used as a hate symbol. this is not some outdated piece of clothing, this is a shirt with an active hate symbol
slow-burn friends to lovers has never missed. the lingering looks when the other person is not paying attention? incredible. the witty banter? elite. the subtle jealousy? perfection. and do not even get me started on the moment they finally confess their feelings.
