🚨TRAGIC: The community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of 25-year-old Megan Lambert, the dedicated teacher who was tragically shot and killed during the active shooter incident at Silver Rail Elementary School.

Megan poured her heart into her students, serving not only as an educator but as a fierce advocate for those with special needs. In a statement released by her grieving family, they shared:

"She loved Silver Rail. This was her dream job. Megan was compassionate and had a huge heart. She always fought for the underdog and those with special needs… We would like the other families to know they are in our thoughts and prayers. Megan loved those children, and so we will show you love for her."

Megan's selflessness extended far beyond the classroom walls. While coaching at the Central Oregon Volleyball Club during her very first year, she famously turned down her coaching salary so the funds could be redirected to help families who couldn't afford to play.

She was a beloved daughter, sister, teacher, and mentor whose boundless compassion touched countless lives. Megan deserved so much better, and her legacy of love and selflessness will never be forgotten. 🇺🇸💔🕊️
