Parker et al. studied 200 former elite rugby players with brain health concerns in mid-life. While anxiety, depression and memory symptoms were common, performance on objective memory and cognitive tests was similar to that of age-matched controls. https://t.co/30HtJmkEdX
I'm never listening to it but that doesn't mean you shouldn't; the early reviews from people I know are favorable.
(Also, what are you still doing here? I've moved to the BS place, but it's very quiet there. I miss you....)

@passlerjs Whatever you're most comfortable with. Some send an AD case and a stroke case, some send an older and a younger, some send a seizure d/o and a MS case. Pick cases you're comfortable defending at orals, ideally ones that are different enough to showcase some diverse knowledge.
Today we lost a giant in neurology, medicine,& medical education: Marty Samuels–extraordinary clinician, teacher, mentor,& leader, serving in each of these roles w/humility, humanity,& humor, training& inspiring generations of neurologists. I'm so grateful to have been among them
I love that in this one sampling we can see the memory and executive deficits in this amnestic individual with significant chronic (and recent) history of alcohol use plus poor nutrition.
Haven't been twittering in a while, but getting weird urges to tweet about clocks, so this one seemed like a good example to share, because it has a simple elegance to it.
Then there's the time setting, first with the common stimulus pull to 10 and 11, but with an additional loss of semantic recall for how to represent the time; started with the dot and arrow to 10, then drew the second arrow from the top to the 10, then added the arrow to 11.
All NeuroImage and NeuroImage:Reports editors have resigned over the high publication fee, and are starting a new non-profit journal

This comes with great regret, and a huge amount of thought and discussion- please read announcement to get more details.

@LucasDriskell@Lauren_meier123@victor_delbene @sasperls Yup this! ☝️ Most np's don't come from a dedicated "track"; it's most important to find a program that supports neuropsych trainees with coursework, research, & practica. Also I participated in that survey and pretty sure I must have been one of the 10 "Not important"s
@CorriveauNick Shows up as publicly available in a Google Scholar search, though I can't believe now Google Scholar will forever remember I searched for that....
@Jeff_Browndyke @SteveWechslerPT@AcademicChatter The problem is that the authors get hurt by refusals, not the publisher. I have never heard a publisher complain about insufficient reviewers; they don't even see the peer review process. Editors and authors are the ones who are affected. Anyone who publishes must review too.
@edugganphd @Div40ANST I got in by applying to a school that didn't do interviews back then.
Ok while that's true, I like to think it's not the only reason; any related clinical experience is a great foot in the door. It can help to network, & demonstrated dedication to the field helps one stand out.
Overall, I'm excited for future work that integrates advanced error analysis into digital measurement. Dr. Au is an amazing speaker (here's a YT sample), and no other presenter at my training program has offered quite as much future-oriented inspiration. https://t.co/dnLkLPJ65j
Hey, first tweet long time. I was listening to this @NavNeuro interview with the inimitable Dr. Rhoda Au, and thought I'd highlight some of the work she and her colleagues at @FraminghamStudy have done that highlights the #BostonProcessApproach. https://t.co/mRFduFins3
The Digital Clock is the flagship measure in this FHS digital revolution. For example, Andersen et al (2021) found that "thinking time" and "writing time" (think time vs. ink time in their other pubs) were related to different performance metrics https://t.co/zADBMfHGiI
