In 1983 Alvin Kennard took $50 in cash from a bakery in Bessemer, Alabama. He was 22 years old. On August 29, 2019 at 10:59am he was released on time served. He’s now 58 years old. He did 36 hard years for stealing $50.75 in cash. And no one was hurt.

@DrSarahWakeman Taking away someone’s freedom for being homeless hits a new low for Boston. People are only in tents because it offers more privacy. This is more independent living than the shelter system. Would we jail homeless families ? I don’t think it would even put on the table.

Their are many people their that have medical complications and get their PCA and nursing visits there and see the doctors and others there (encampments) people are registered to vote from this area. Is the engagement center giving people any housing services?

The City is proceeding in face of expert consensus opposing the move

And the encampments will return within months, if not weeks
