Age of Steam is a simple game with such depth and interaction, one of my top 5 games.
This is the north-eastern USA map which, with 4 players was a little more relaxed but still chock full of "controversial" moves

Exit the highway on the way to Las Vegas and end up on the historic Route 66 and lunch in the classic Roadkill Cafe.

Railways of the World:Mexico map. Alight error in setting up the board (I forgot to add goods to the neutral cities) meant that this was a far more punishing game than normal. Excellent battle despite that.

Civilization:A New Dawn - The spread of the Great Roman empire (orange} wasn't enough to dominate the required objectives. A really great implementation of the computer game, although slightly abstracted. #tabletopgames#boardgames#boardgamegeek#civili… https://t.co/yM0uhOAPkq
Really enjoyed the passive aggressive room laying that is The Palace of Mad King Ludwig. Enormous opportunities to mess with your opponents plans and ensure the King prefers your palace additions.

The very colourful dice worker placement of Rise to Nobility. Liked the early drive you had to get your settlers housed switching to thematically getting them to produce goods for end game points.

Deus: There's an awful lot of wood for a card game. Great feeling of rushing to spread your tribe out into the world. Too much to do, so little time to bring your plans to fruition. #boardgames#boardgamegeek#tabletopgames#deusgame https://t.co/keNhV8K293
Serenissima, an oldie (2012!) but a great game. Choose to be a simple merchant, a privateer or something in between. Hard to mitigate for bad dice rolls, but so much fun when you win! #boardgames#boardgamegeek#tabletopgames#serenissimagame https://t.co/Z8VWaVEpoM
Palace of Mad King Ludwig. Was expecting not to like this game as I like the placement of the rooms in Castles. But yeah, this is great, and the on rushing moat is reminiscent of Survive! Escape from Atlantis. #boardgamegeek#boardgames#tabletopgames#p… https://t.co/O908m3LVUh
