didn't realize pythagorean theorem day was a thing and now i get to experience my first and last one of my lifetime

[۟ @botanebbie]

what odysseus did to that infant after zeus told him to

[GOODPOP 🍭 @goodguylolypop]

I tried to let it go...

[۟ @botanebbie]

thinking about how odysseus and his men beheaded a priestess of athena in a temple of athena when attacking troy and how athena comes to him in the form of her slain priestess to remind him of his sins and the blood that could never be washed from his hands

[۟ @botanebbie]

genuinely one of the freakiest cyclops designs i've ever seen, the twisted facial features also remind me of the still life entities from the backrooms

In the AI era ,
Christopher Nolan once again proved why he is legend
No AI, CGI shots

Complete Real Experience

[۟ @botanebbie]

absolutely horrifying

[۟ @botanebbie]

this is still awesome to me

[۟ @botanebbie]

i need to go back for another backrooms movie rewatch so i might be misremembering, but were the apartments being made called the reverchon apartments?? like julien reverchon the rolling giant in the oldest view or am i just going backrooms mode and misremembering details

[۟ @botanebbie]

can't stop thinking about the oldest view

[۟ @botanebbie]

these are so fun i need them NOW

[۟ @botanebbie]

[ backrooms movie spoiler ]

love the intentional placement here

[۟ @botanebbie]

mini backrooms spoilers but i just remembered that phil async's family was watching the neverending story before the captain clark's ottoman empire commercial comes on 😭

[۟ @botanebbie]

I LOVE THE BACKROOMS MOVIE ‼️

[۟ @botanebbie]

seeing the ai upscaled picture of mary's still life at the very end of the movie circulating around and thinking about the horror of how similar the backrooms and ai are in how they both operate like failing memories & misremembering details.

[۟ @botanebbie]

i saw the movie last night & these pics are ai upscaled which is (to me) another layer of the horror of the backrooms. it misremembers, it forgets details. i remember how the still life version of mary looks with her disfigured face, but the ai upscale can't. like the backrooms.

[۟ @botanebbie]

it's so interesting and fun that the hobbytown in oshkosh where the original backrooms pic was taken literally used to be a furniture store before it was redone

[۟ @botanebbie]

the only me is me.
are you sure the only you is you?

[۟ @botanebbie]

attempting this and honestly i'm a little scared

[۟ @botanebbie]

saturn devours his own son in an attempt to stop the prophecy of being overthrown, only to still be slain. clark believes that he is unable to change & self-sabotages, resulting in his own still life (how the backrooms remembers him; his insecurities made manifest) devouring him.

[۟ @botanebbie]

[ the backrooms movie spoilers ]

trapping yourself in a self-fulfilling prophecy will consume & kill you.

[۟ @botanebbie]

another really terrifying thing about kane's youtube backrooms series is the bacteria that, in the real world is pretty much harmless, but in the complex, it has mutated into something much deadlier and spreads its rot from the corpses lost inside the backrooms

[۟ @botanebbie]

felt my heart drop to my stomach during the entire found footage sequence especially this scene, the horror in trying to recreate memories but misremembering everything. vanishing into the floor, half-formed, disfigured, fleeting. the still lifes never quite getting it right.

[rhaenicent maxxing @ELLIEW1LLAMS]

let’s talk about this scene immediately bc i almost cried
