@DigitalHazard So, is the game gonna be benchmarked with and without Denuvo to prove the claim that Denuvo affects performance? Or is that just a myth spread to justify piracy?
@LunaToon_4597@excaliburn3d@digimon_games Denuvo is only used for PC games. Irdeto did make a Switch version of Denuvo at some point but zero Switch games ended up using it because Nintendo actually puts in effort to protect games from piracy unlike Valve.
@Fatal_Bubbles7@AGregtothePast Allowing people to have some degree of actual ownership of digital games. You can lend and resell them unlike a Steam game.
Also, Nintendo doesn't use them for their own games, those are on real 64 GB Game Cards.
@erasmolbj@GOGcom This starts as a cool tech demo (which isn't piracy because you own the game), but ends with piracy sites turning any indie game into a free browser game, just like happened to Nintendo's old games.
@CaverexTV@NoseOfDeath I use a PC instead of a PlayStation too but this makes no sense. Online multiplayer has no protection against cheaters, still have to pay for private servers, Steam Cloud is terrible, games on sale on Steam are usually on sale on Switch and PlayStation too.
@im_theaspirant@AndreSegers Piracy on the DS and PSP conditioned mobile gamers to expect games to be free, hence (mobile) gaming turned into what it is today.
@Idontcare987123@KabiPlays You say Sony hate is the same as Wii U hate, so if thinking that Sony sucks makes you a boomer, logically you are also a boomer for thinking the Wii U sucks.
@CassiusDelcorvo@Fethchu69 No, that's Next Order, which is on Switch already. The 3DS game is an unrelated story with Digimon World 1 inspired gamplay.
@Idontcare987123@KabiPlays The Wii U is the last console that plays its games straight from its discs with no installation. Those who have one generally don't hate it, it's more comparable to the Dreamcast than the PS6 which we now already know will be bad despite not even coming out any time soon.
