Well if they’re going to put it in @TheFieldmag I’m going to start talking about it.
This is what we’ve been working towards:
Standard steel
#biodegradable wad
Effective at normal ranges
Low recoil
Suitable for 2.5” chambers

A clarification on the guidance on the use of standard steel through ordinary nitro proof shotguns came from the Deputy Proof Master yesterday.
Good to see much need simplification of High Performance steel proof marks too
👇
@_SimonReinhold I did wonder, but considering his knowledge of vintage guns, I thought perhaps he was right, so long as appropriate adjustment to chamber length and reproof had been done. I will go with the proof house.
@GethinJones123@EleyHawk If I remember correctly, Super Game were introduced in about 1977/8. They were great cartridges, but I stopped using them because i didn't like leaving the plaswads about the place.
@_SimonReinhold My game gun is a lovely Powell made in 1947, and my wildfowler a GE Lewis made in 1936, both as good as the day they were made. I had a brief spree on O/U a few years back that didn't last long. I have everything I need in a SxS, I wish more would give them a go.

For those people that wanted a clip of righting a cast sheep. Roll her away from you,as you can see she is quite wobbly. Sometimes they are much worse and keep falling over so please stay with them even if you have to hold them for a bit. Thank you

@JamesWallerD I have kept Ixworth and Poulet de Bresse for free range table birds, eaten lots of light Sussex x Ixworth too. Best by far is the Bresse x Ixworth (bressix). Keep cocks away from hens as they mature as they will run flesh off.
