Ukraine did negotiate at the beginning of the invasion. So much so that it reached the outline of a peace deal with Russia. Zelensky abandoned that deal at the behest of the US and UK, who wanted to use Ukraine to bleed Russia -- no matter how much death and destruction ensued.
This reality remains censored by Western media -- across the spectrum -- with Ukrainians left to pay the price:
