Fair point. Right now, yes, the creator could technically choose not to pay after approving. We don't hold funds in escrow yet, so there's no way to force a payout on the current bounties.

We're actually rolling out a smart contract for pre-funded bounties in the next few hours. Those will lock the reward upfront, so anyone completing one of those tasks has a guaranteed payout, no trust needed.

Until then, approved submissions can carry a public transaction hash as proof of payment, so you can still verify a creator actually paid.

If no one submits, nothing happens, the bounty just sits open until it expires. No funds are locked or lost since there's no escrow, the creator never sent anything upfront.

And yes, every bounty has a set duration (1 to 30 days, creator's choice). Once it expires, no new submissions are accepted and it shows as closed.
