Here’s the thing, if I was a millionaire, I’d happily donate £5M to @Nigel_Farage because I want change for my country and nothing in return.
Dale Vince donated £5M to the Labour Party, got about a £140M in government subsidies and nobody batted an eyelid, not to mention the £27M in Union donations who then hold the government to ransom over public sector pay, there is corruption, but it’s all in the Labour Party.
"This is a gimmick" from a man who is only an MP cos he forced a by-elction when one not needed, all to force an internal LP coup to dump one prime minister & allow his own coronation. Now that is what I call a gimmick.
We tax cigarettes to reduce smoking.
We tax alcohol to reduce drinking.
We tax fuel to reduce driving.
What do you think happens when you tax employing people and running a business?
This has been explained to you many many times. Why don't you engage with the answer?
Only the wholesale price is set by gas
The wholesale price is c40% of the bill we pay
Renewables subsidies are almost all higher than the wholesale price so if the wholesale price falls the subsidy element rises. This is a separate charge on the bill
Other charges on the bill are
Backup for renewables
High cost of connecting renewables
Extra balancing costs for renewables
In the autumn energy execs set this out in detail to the DESNZ Select Committee. They were very clear....
WHOLESALE PRICES COULD FALL TO ZERO AND BILLS WOULD STILL GO UP
The good thing about Bridget Philipson is that she hasn't let her humble roots make her a spiteful poisonous hatchet faced harridan so full of bile, envy and hatred that it consumes her entire soul.
It genuinely amused me that people think replacing Starmer will make things better.
From Boris Johnson's election onwards, we've been shuffling the bollards on the Titanic.
You have to actually change direction if you want to avoid crashing into the iceberg:
- End Net Zero
- Make business viable again
- Get welfare under control
- Fund defence
- Ensure equality under the law
- Arrest criminals and keep them in jail
- Deport illegal immigrants and close the border
- Bring the civil service to heel
Burnham will become as unpopular as Starmer within months since he isn't going to do any of that.
In his resignation speech, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer boasted that he protected British children from social media.
Someone needs to remind him that he was supposed to protect them from rape and sexual exploitation.
20 years ago, An Inconvenient Truth put climate change at the center of global debate, shaping politics, influencing leaders, and inspiring a generation of activists.
Two decades later, we can assess not just its impact, but its accuracy. Many of the film’s most alarming predictions did not materialize, while many of the policies it inspired have proven costly and ineffective.
The lesson? Panic is a poor guide for public policy. Focusing on innovation, adaptation, and economic development can do far more to help both people and the climate—at a fraction of the cost.

Britain hasn’t realized they’re in a war. If 250k girls in your country are raped by people from another country, that counts as an invasion and war. I spoke with @officialsammyuk about the Rape Gang Inquiry report here:
One of the craziest things about the UK rape gang scandal is that it's largely considered a 'right wing' concern.
In a sane, serious country, it would be completely bipartisan. In fact, it wouldn't even be seen as a political issue, but one of basic justice and morality.
This....
We should all be horrified. @UKLabour putting the UK into this company with its authoritarian nonsense
People are saying Andy Burnham might call a snap General Election once he unseats Starmer... I hope so. We must do everything we can to get this government out

Just to remind these same folk:
You’ve not lifted 1/2m kids out of poverty. You’ve just moved them over a bureaucratic line on a Whitehall spreadsheet.
Your ‘workers rights’ are destroying entry-level jobs, hitting young people disproportionately, where unemployment is now over 16%.
You have not transformed the NHS. It’s still the same old wheezing leviathan, just with a lot more dosh and still dismal productivity.
And you’ve nationalised steel and rail before. It was not the prelude to an economic or industrial miracle. Plus you will now have to include their demands for capital/subsidies among all the other priorities already crowding in on the public purse.
Other than that your reminder was useful. Thank you.
Neil Oliver underscores how Net Zero rhetoric has gone quiet now that technocratic elites need dependable energy for vast data centres, which he describes as "the building blocks of a digital cage".
He says the sudden return to oil and gas, after years of promoting wind and solar, exposes the "climate crisis hoax" for all to see.
@JuliaHB1 The ban is backdoor digital ID and censorship
We need to TEACH children digital safety. We don't reach road safety by banning children from going near roads until they're adults
