Meet Bud.

Bud is 10 years old and weighs just 15 pounds. Somewhere along the way, life got hard. When he arrived at the shelter, he needed medical care for skin issues, his nails were overgrown, and nobody came looking for him.

But look at him.

Look at that little head tilt.

Look at those ears.

Look at that tail still held high. ❤️

Bud has already started treatment and is responding well, but he is now living on borrowed time and urgently needs a rescue, foster, or adopter.

He doesn't seem angry.

He doesn't seem defeated.

He just looks like a little dog who still believes his person is out there.

This sweet 8-year-old gentleman (68.5 lbs) is a people-oriented boy who readily approaches his handler, engages, and loves treats and attention! 💕 He’s social, gentle, and friendly with staff, walks well on a leash when not distracted, and remains treat receptive. Once he feels comfortable, he likes to stay close and check in often — a loyal companion who just wants to be part of your little world. 🐾

Brooklyn came in as a stray in mid-April and is still adjusting to shelter life. He can be reactive to other dogs (pulling and hard barking on walks or when moving through the shelter) and gets vocal in his kennel during active hours. Shelter stress is showing, but he’s responsive, willing to connect, and has strong potential with patience and positive reinforcement.

He would thrive in a calm, quiet, adult-only home with a predictable routine, gentle handling, and low-stress environment. He needs slow, structured introductions to other dogs and is not suited for dog parks or off-leash settings.

He needs an experienced foster or adopter through a New Hope partner immediately to beat his 6/9 deadline. 🏠

“She was urgent and had a deadline. A deadline of September 4, 2025. Then, she was safe. But safe isn’t exactly what she got. Nevio was safe from euthanasia, by going to Lifeline’s private rescue, the Community Animal Center, but she has been sitting in a kennel since then. Alone, without a family of her own. For 10 months, everyone forgot about her because she was so-called “safe,” but she still needs you.

She is super sweet and loves people. From a few weekends away from the shelter, she has been found to be potty trained and quiet in a home. She loves to cuddle and get belly rubs and loves squirrels. She loves everyone she meets and walks well on leash.
