Meet Sky. 🐾

She doesn’t care about the noise, the tools, or the chaos of creating. If anything, it relaxes her.

We got her as a puppy around the same time I started working with leather, and she used to lay on my desk with me back in my apartment while I built wallets late into the night.

Now years later, in a completely different house, I let her back up on the desk for the first time… and it was like nothing ever changed. Same spot. Same calm little face. Same feeling.

Some things just feel like home.

Hard to believe this is my first Kenny Lofton mitt I’ve ever turned into a wallet.

After all these years… this legend finally made it to my bench.

I kept the Rawlings patch and that Special Edition stamp because gloves like this deserve to keep telling their story.

From chasing down fly balls to riding in someone’s back pocket.

Some leather just carries history differently. ⚾

This coffee bar didn’t come from a store it came from a friend @bowthemaker with a huge heart and serious talent. He drove from Canada, stayed for 19 days, drafted the blueprints, and built this entire thing with just the tools in his truck and supplies I’ve been picking up for the last few months. Ever wonder what it takes to turn an old baseball mitt into a wallet?

It’s not as simple as cutting leather and stitching it back together — each piece has its own story, scars, and character.

First, the mitt has to be carefully taken apart. Every stitch removed. Every layer separated. The years of dirt, sweat, and game-day grit are cleaned and conditioned without losing that original feel.

Then comes the rebuild — reshaping and skiving thick glove leather, finding the right layout to showcase the markings, laces, or player signatures that make it special. Every edge burnished, every pocket aligned, every stitch pulled by hand.

And finally, it’s all brought back together — a piece of baseball history, reimagined to live on in your everyday carry.

Each wallet is 1-of-1. Each tells its own story.

@PeteBMLC It’s this pattern created by @bowthemaker but I’d do my own twist on it and use mitt for the pouch and inside would be new leather that holds the pens. I do like your idea on who’s mitt to use. Just curious if maybe I should do a mitt with no name but neat markings on it.
