When I helped execute the second @POKEMONSCTO takeover, there wasn’t some fully formed team sitting there waiting.

We took control, got the fees into community hands, and started building from there.

Since then, a real team has started forming around it.

@ClutchCatchem @ajoshtrades and myself are pushing this forward.

@Andyverses has been helping tremendously with memes and encouragement, and he’s actually a real Pokémon collector.

Then there are investors and community members showing up from different parts of the world.

We’ve been opening Spaces every day. Sometimes they’re small, but new people keep coming in. People are talking, contributing, making memes, sharing cards and actually sticking around.

That’s what has made my thesis stronger.

We don’t need to search for a narrative.

It’s Pokémon.

The 30th anniversary is happening. There are constantly new cards, games, shows, collectibles, releases and generations of people who grew up with it.

The narrative never really ends.

Now we’re starting to connect that culture with crypto.

We’re building a marketplace into the website where Pokémon cards can eventually be bought and sold, and one of our members has applied for the licensing needed to move into card brokerage properly.

The chart is still small. The community is still small.

But it’s forming one person at a time, and people are actually engaging.

That feels very different from another random meme coin where everyone is desperately trying to invent tomorrow’s meme.

We don’t have that problem.

The memes are already there.
The collectors are already there.
The nostalgia is already there.
The new releases never stop.

It’s Pokémon.

Now the job is turning that massive existing culture into a real community around what we’re building.

Through all the ups and downs, this community kept showing up, kept building and kept believing in $POKEMON.

Congrats to everyone who’s made it this far with us. Every post, every Space and every person who believed played a part in getting us here.

This is what a real community takeover looks like.

No massive KOL bags controlling the story.
No single person carrying everything.
No giant insider group deciding where this goes.

Just regular people showing up, contributing, building, posting, helping, and pushing $POKEMON forward together.

The DEX got handled.
The website got built.
And now the fees are finally in the community’s hands too.

That matters.

It means the resources generated by $POKEMON can actually be used by the CTO to support the community, plan ahead, and keep building.

Piece by piece, this is becoming a proper community-run CTO.

Passed $100K, almost passed 100 followers. We had a great Space, and saw a bunch of new faces joining the community and getting involved.

Feels like every day the Pokédex gets a little bigger.

A few days ago, this community was basically standing in the rain with a stubborn Pikachu and no idea what the next episode was going to look like.

Now the $POKEMON CTO is officially in community hands.

The creator fees are finally being redirected to the wallet we set up for the community, giving us a real foundation to keep building from.

And none of this happened because of one person.

People stepped up to help with the DEX, the website, the X community, Telegram, content, Spaces, graphics, research, funding, ideas and just keeping morale alive when things looked rough.

That reminds me a lot of the beginning of Pokémon.

Ash didn't start his journey with a perfect team. Pikachu didn't even want to cooperate. They got attacked by Spearow, barely made it to Viridian City, and everything that followed came from surviving those first chaotic episodes together.

Then, one by one, the team started forming.

That's what the last few days have felt like.

What started as people simply refusing to let $POKEMON disappear is becoming an actual community with people contributing because they want to see where the story goes.
