@_MTB_mike_ Look at @BirdCycleworks Zero TR or AM if you want an aggro hardtail. Can basically build to your own spec. You'll be hard-pushed to find a better spec for the money.

When I first start riding Welsh red and black trails I feel properly nervous as they are SO much harder than anything I ride at home. After a day of adjustment they become so much fun and force me to improve my technique. Definitely good to get out of your comfort zone sometimes.

Oh knee pads, knees pads

We had to losen off the bars to get the bikes on the roof rack. Our noob riding friend retightened them like this and rode for 20 minutes before we noticed 😶. Made for an interesting fork offset experiment!

Never ceases to amaze me just how tough @Maxxis_Tyres are. 3 days of smashing Welsh trails with sharp slate everywhere and not a single tyre problem. Awesome 👍

Took my @BirdCycleworks Aeris for a maiden trip to Coed Y Brenin. Had so much fun on The Dragons Back today. 3 years on and I still love riding this bike 👌

@SteelRat70 @UKCycleChat Jamis nudges it for me on specs (except tyres), especially as suspension seems better. I'd go for the one that rides best as components will inevitably get upgraded to your preference with time. MBR raves about the ride, but see if you can get a test ride from Evans & Go Outdoors

@DenzilTK421 It might be that your mech hanger is slightly bent. No amount of indexing will improve it much. A sign of this can be the mid gears not shifting properly while the outer ones do.
