No one normal has an issue with celebrating the last slaves being freed. The issue is when that history is turned into a weapon to push more division within our country.
We absolutely CANNOT move forward by constantly separating & segregating ourselves on the basis of race, but instead by remembering our history (within its proper context), honoring freedom, and standing together as Americans.
