The new docu 'Danny Dyer: How To Be A Man' is well worth a look. High points were Dyer's reaction to the lecture by @SeagerMJ, the contributions by @DrBecciOwens and @BBradley_Mans, and the sections on the mental health benefits of boxing.
More like this please, @Channel4 👍

‘Danny Dyer: How to Be a Man review – come on, geezer, is this really the best you can do?’
And right on cue we have a guardian journalist predictably & bitterly criticising @MrDDyer & @Channel4 for not addressing ‘toxic masculinity’

This is a great review! Some really important points that hopefully can be surfaced and explored in the future, but a really important first step.
Plus - can absolutely vouch for how powerful @SeagerMJ ‘s lectures are!
They see boys being excluded at twice the rate of girls
They see Violence Against Women and Girls campaigns, but no campaigns for boys like them, unless they are about knife crime or criminality

Hugely important message from @fatherhoodinst which I completely agree with.
Dads are so important. We should never underestimate their importance to sons and daughters.
Boys really do need their dads in their lives. They need men to look up to and to guide them.
It is why I will continue in Parliament to campaign for better support for improvements in boys' education plus shout up for dads too.

Watching @MrDDyer doc on ‘How to be a man’ and a lot of the issue’s facing society today could be helped by bringing in more positive male role models as mentors and offering education that is tailored to be more suitable for boys @BBradley_Mans#ddhowtobeaman
