@RobbBrunansky You're saying the devil has inspired a whole group of people for the last 200 years to live decent, kind, generous, Christ-like lives.
Makes total sense, much like the Pharisees accusing Jesus' work of being of the Devil.
Cope.
@OchoZaco@KramersFaith There is no accessible, reliable data showing that a net loss occurred only in the US.
I agree that listening is key for sure- people outside of the Bishop don't get the chances to do so as often as is needed.
Sure do.
I'd love to know your source of those leaving. They are not posted, public, or tracked, as you imply. If you say it exists, it's a conjecture or guess. MSR doesn't have a way to track it. Every metric of activity in the church is up.
We'd love for every person to come, stay, and remain faithful, but, like every denomination, an individual's faith ebbs and flows.
Really? Interesting that is what connected the dots to Christ for you.
I do know one other person who, for some reason or another, even after serving a mission, never really connected with Jesus Christ and His sacrifice until he was out of the Church. I'm guessing there was more going on in your life that might have made that difficult.
Sure bud. I can tell your impromptu scrutiny is lacking. The Trinity isn't Biblical, its creedal. FYI.
Harper’s Bible Dictionary records that “the formal doctrine of the Trinity as it was defined by the great church councils of the fourth and fifth centuries is not to be found in the [New Testament].”
I am a follower of Jesus Christ, who died on the cross to save mankind. I am a New Testament Christian. However, I am NOT a creedal Christian.
@HansFiene If you really think this is a viable comparison, then that shows much more about your logic and thought than it does the issue.
The creeds deemed essence and consubstantiation "real" when they are non-biblical. They told God how He identifies.
“We believe these three divine persons constituting a single Godhead are united in purpose, in manner, in testimony, in mission. We believe Them to be filled with the same godly sense of mercy and love, justice and grace, patience, forgiveness, and redemption. I think it is accurate to say we believe They are one in every significant and eternal aspect imaginable except believing Them to be three persons combined in one substance, a Trinitarian notion never set forth in the scriptures because it is not true.”
Everything you just said about essence was decided on 400 years.
Harper’s Bible Dictionary records that “the formal doctrine of the Trinity as it was defined by the great church councils of the fourth and fifth centuries is not to be found in the [New Testament].”
If that is your standard, gladly I will profess that I am not a creedal Christian.
@HoldenCCole I can tell you didn’t watch nor understand the video you reposted. It simply beautiful and beautiful simple. Just like Christ’s teachings.
