Jimmy Page tearing into the legendary “Heartbreaker” solo at Madison Square Garden, New York — open-string pull-offs flying all over the neck, wild bends behind the nut, and that unmistakable Page swagger. It’s raw, fearless, and completely his own.
In a 1993 Guitar World interview, Jimmy was asked why he chose to record the Heartbreaker solo completely alone. Page explained that while producing Led Zeppelin’s records, he was always pushing himself to try something different — something no one else had thought of.
"What makes [Axis: Bold As Love] special for me is what makes The Experience special for everyone. The weave between the three of them was very intense, very emotional and very creative," explains Paul Rodgers in the latest edition of "Bold As Love Recalled & Celebrated." "I think Hendrix was touched by an angel and was a gift from God."
