Ok nerds. Why do internet providers get away with lying? I have a choice between 2 companies claiming to be fiber optic. One is DSL using CAT 5e to a CAT 3 jack. Xfinity is copper from the node. I don't understand how either can claim to be fiber.

It's frustrating that of 10 internet providers, not 1 offers true fiber optic. I have a better chance of getting it in Africa.
