I am profoundly grateful to President Trump and Vice President @JDVance for the opportunity to be a part of this extraordinary team, and to serve in an administration that has worked with the Congress to deliver the largest tax relief in American history, the resources necessary to secure the border and build the wall across two reconciliation bills, the fastest confirmation of the cabinet in twenty years, and defeating two Democratic shutdowns.

I want to thank @SusieWiles47 and @JamesBlairUSA for their indomitable leadership, the incredible staff they have brought together, and to the extraordinary team at the Office of Legislative Affairs, who have contributed so much to the work of the administration with Congress, most especially the 47 OLA deputy directors past and present: Jeff Freeland, Pace McMullan, Jay Fields, Katie Bailey and Chad Yelinski.

But the project on the table is a third party that will lose, pitched from a house in Maine by people who left government.

There are thousands of patriotic young people who still believe in President Trump and Vice President Vance serving in this administration.

Augustus famously declared that he "found Rome a city of bricks and left it a city of marble." President @realDonaldTrump is accomplishing something similar today, as he brings our national capital to new heights of glory. The latest example is his Administration's restoration of the Columbus Fountain in the Union Station Plaza.

During the Administration of Theodore Roosevelt, Congress appropriated funds for a monument to the memory of Christopher Columbus, whose "high faith and indomitable courage gave to mankind a new world."

On June 8, 1912, the statue was unveiled amid extraordinary pomp and circumstance. The ceremonies drew an enthusiastic crowd of 150,000—the most impressive celebration in Washington since the Grand Review of the Armies following the Union victory in the Civil War.

As the star-spangled veil was pulled from the statue, a 21-gun salute sounded from Fort Myer. President Taft then delivered an address extolling Columbus as "the greatest mariner in history" and a legend who contributed immensely to "Christian civilization" and human progress. The capital later echoed with the sound of military bands, guns, and fireworks.

However, less than a century later, this sense of civic pride had faded, and the magnificent monument had fallen into a state of neglect and disrepair. Its fountains ran dry, its stonework deteriorated, and its marble was scarred by vandals. The memorial that was once so majestically adorned with the Stars and Stripes soon became a symbol of national decline.

Today, President Trump has made it great again! The monument has been restored to its original splendor and once again stands as a worthy gateway to our capital, ready to welcome the countless citizens who will soon gather in Washington to celebrate the 250th anniversary of our great Republic. 🇺🇸
