@BPDmimi Lamictal is gold for stability (for me) so long as I’m taking it with the right anti-depressant. I’m so sorry it’s not doing it’s best for you! Lord knows we all need the help. 💊👼
@BPDmimi I take 400mg a day of lamictal - I’ve been on the lamictal since 2007 🙊 I’ve taken different doses overtime - as low as 100 and as high as 400. For me - the key thing was what I was adding to it! I take lamictal with cymbalta now. Taking with with lexapro was ❌🆘.
@simong4@AFR365@SickNotWeak Ah, keeping up with meds is incredibly important. I’ve been diagnosed bipolar for over 10 years and have been under the close care of a doc for all of those years. Meds are super important - and an easy thing to stop when you’re in a bad way.
I had a very bad year, mentally. I was on the up and up - getting out of the house, being social, practicing some self-love. Then I broke my foot. Now I am unable to move, home alone, and eating only what is brought to me.
I am terrified my mood will swing so low. I’m surrounding myself with @TigNotaro, @MyFavMurder, @HamiltonMusical and all of my best blankets. But there’s a lot to say for how quickly our mood can match our movement.
Got my sister listening to @THWofD and loving it. I started her with Jenny Lawson since I knew she could relate to the spontaneous combustion situation. First step to accepting her diagnosis and owning it. Thanks @THWofD! She’s eying my pillbox now...
@mymercilessmind My job just transferred me across the county, and I had to choose whether my mental health or my job is more important. The commute goes from 5 minutes to 2 hours. I don’t know if we feel the same about our jobs, but if it hurts like this call did, I’m so sorry.
Yes.
When I went to one under resourced community, a fear-mongering autism awareness campaign had painted the town blue the year before and people started being ostracized for their suspected disability. Awareness is not good without follow through and support. https://t.co/QsxjHkDzib
And now that I’m recovering as well, we’re pushing each other, in our own ways. We’ve seen each other through 😷 and 💪🏼 and we’re just getting started. Here’s to the SPOUSES who know we are #sicknotweak. #weightloss#sicknessandhealth#KeepTalkingMH

I am so proud of my husband who has been crushing his #weightloss challenge! He was down and out with #afib for 3 years, but he’s healed up from surgery and making major steps to change his life. Cheers for T! #mytransphormationstartstoday#biggestloser

He’s my world. We’ve had marriage boot camp during year one, and it’s been ROUGH. #depression was crushing me while his heart beat out of his chest. Sounds dramatic but the change from 💔➡️ ❤️ has been huge.
