Gifts, badges, pins, and commemorative items were all dumped into a trash bin on site. The directive was absolute, no item of Chinese origin was permitted to board the aircraft. The precautions extended beyond the departure itself. Delegation members had left all personal electronic devices at home before traveling to China and operated exclusively on clean burner phones throughout the duration of the trip.

ALERT: Police deploy a drone to track down suspects who allegedly robbed 2 retail stores.

Fresno Police received a call from Dick’s Sporting Goods that 2 suspects had stolen items from the store by concealing them in their clothes before taking off in a grey Honda Pilot.

Police promptly launched the unnamed drone and were able to track down the car and follow it before officers arrived and stopped the vehicle.

A 39-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman were detained, and police later found out they had robbed a second Dick’s store earlier that morning.

This is the first high-profile arrest attributed to Fresno Police Chief Mindy Casto’s newly announced “Drone as First Responder” program.

Both suspects now face grand theft charges.
