This is the issue IMO.. one or two players with deferred money in their contract is valid but not a quarter of the roster.. nigga like can we be so fr 🤣 absurd shit yo
The Dodgers really owe $1.1 BILLION in deferred money to players 😳
They'll be paying:
⚾️ Shohei Ohtani: Until 2043
⚾️ Mookie Betts: Until 2044
⚾️ Blake Snell: Until 2046
⚾️ Freddie Freeman: Until 2040
⚾️ Will Smith: Until 2043
⚾️ Kyle Tucker: Until 2045
⚾️ Tommy Edman: Until 2044
⚾️ Teoscar Hernandez: Until 2039
⚾️ Tanner Scott: Until 2039
⚾️ Edwin Diaz: Until 2047
Wild.
Teams sending their talent they know they won’t re-sign to LAD for prospects isn’t an issue IMO but that motherfucking 200 mill that’ll be deferred to 2050 in skubal’s next contract is complete bullshit. You know it’s coming too
The Dodgers traded one top 5 prospect and a pitcher with a 4.95 ERA this year as the best players in a deal for the best pitcher in baseball???
The MLB is such a joke anymore with no cap structure and allowing team like LA to cheat money with deferred salary.
I think they’ll AA Jim Jarvis and let HSK get a final opportunity, if he can’t hit within 2/3 weeks, DFA and go with dubon at shortstop. Love Jimmy Baseball but he has options. Would also rather not get rid of mateo’s speed on the bench
The #Braves could very well have fixed their shortstop issue with the addition of Lane Thomas. Allowing Thomas to platoon with Yastrzemski in LF, and moving Dubon to SS full time would be terrific. Now it's a matter of what to do with HSK now that his rehab stint is over.
Casey Mize would make a lot of sense for the Braves. If not now, could see them pursuing him this winter as free agent. Alabama native and Auburn product.
I trust Martin Perez to have a shove day like this one in a game 4 of a 7 game series.. he’s one of those players that you need on a championship team. Big time from him today on short notice and helping out the pen 👏🏾
