Today at JPII, we held a press conference to announce the progress of our Capital Campaign, “Together We Soar.” Construction will begin soon on some of the items in the campaign including the new football/soccer complex, new concessions and bathrooms outside, & new gym.

Mike Durant retired from the Army as a CW4 Blackhawk helicopter master aviator in the 160th SOAR (A), the Night Stalkers. He participated in combat operations Prime Chance, Just Cause, Desert Storm, and Gothic Serpent. His awards include the Distinguished Service Medal, Distinguished Flying Cross with Oak Leaf Cluster, Bronze Star with Valor Device, Purple Heart, Meritorious Service Medal, three Air Medals, POW/MIA ribbon, and numerous others. After his time in the military, he ran a successful fortune 500 company, "Pinnacle Solutions". He and his wife Lisa have 6 children.

UAH softball head coach Les Stuedeman has announced her retirement after 30 seasons.
In her unprecedented 30-year run, Stuedeman won 1,297 games, nine GSC titles and four South Region championships.
