@LizaNow It may be true, but I have grown to feel that its not a healthy motivation. It disconnects me from my art and what the process means to me. I started making music to entertain myself but it turned into something I did to please others. Thats the death of art IMHO.
Too few of my peers are willing to admit: when a great one dies a pit in your stomach opens. Your ego reminds you that you too will die but your work has not had the impact you had hoped for.
I can listen intently to Radigue
I can also have her in the background all day as life makes noises on top
You can meditate when you can, but if you are not a monk, you have to live life
Either way, her sound will elevate you
The answer to this is the liberation of ego death. While there is still time, connect to the immortality of the energies you channel. Live as a vehicle for them passing through samsara and revealing their beauty to all. ☸️🪷
She spoke of her intensions very well herself, but as for the results describing Radigue's work as "minimalism" misses its impact. It demands of the listener complete focus and attention as the harmonic structures of her themes are thoroughly explored.
Tonal Maximalism.
