If you do not mind a film that takes its time to say what it needs to say, you will definitely appreciate this one. One of its standout strengths is the visuals. You can genuinely see and feel old Manila in every frame, a quality that the director and cinematographer Raymond Red consistently brings to his work.

just saw Manila’s Finest. it’s about the slow corruption and decay of an institution. nothing flashy or dramatic happens, and that’s exactly why it works. the story just keeps moving, quietly, the way corruption usually does. hindi siya sumasabog. it just settles in.
