@golz_tv The blame for flopping falls squarely on the refs. Flopping exists because it’s rewarded. Players who fight through contact don’t get calls. Players who hit the ground do. Refs need to officiate the contact, not the result. Change that, and flopping largely goes away.
@JacksonHockey_ In a vacuum, some solid trades & picks. But overall? Terrible. Coaching decisions weak, draft assets wasted, Cutter a massive loss. He’s like an OC that can call a great play, but zero drive sequencing. No progress since he arrived. We are arguably worse off.
@MoreyBall76@charlieo_conn Until they do, I’m out. My eyes and my sanity can take no more. Pinned basically the entire rebuild on MM and for two years going completely screwed up his development. Cutter looking more and more like a genius. Got away from this train wreck.
@avappleyard@NHLFlyers It’s such a no-brainer, and yet, like so many other things Flyers related, here we are. Another coach that’s gonna coach the stardom right out of him. Make it make sense.
@afern_alex Lol, Hathaway. That was incredible. I have not watched a game during this road trip, and I’m so frustrated with the direction of this organization, I’m not sure I plan on watching another until there is a massive shake up. I can only bang my head against a wall for so long.
@DanKnightly 1. Put him on the RW.
2. Let him cheat a bit.
3. Let him play outside the structure.
He has now been over coached by two coaches trying to make him a “complete” hockey player. I don’t want a complete hockey player. We have enough of those. I want a difference maker.
@JBook_37 Clawbacks sound good, but if your school has them and rivals don’t, you lose the kids. Until there is a parent in the room with national rules & enforcement, it’s pure chaos. And it’s destroying college football. Not interested in a sport with annual turnover.
@charlieo_conn Can someone explain to me why MM has not seen the RW all year? It’s killing me. And probably killing him more. Takes away so much of what makes him great. His ability to slow play and see the whole ice on his forehand disappears.
@afern_alex MM and TF together on a line is an absolute no-brainer. Why it has barely been tried is absolute malpractice. Those two would play so well off each other.
@BrandonGowton You have seen this offense, right? In a world where the offense has a pulse, I agree. In a world with this offense, he made the only sane decision he could.
@avappleyard@NHLFlyers Your team has been irrelevant for years. You would think they would want to get this stuff right. But, nope! A losing organization across the board.
@charlieo_conn Dynamic wings, with big, tough, strong space eating centers that can lets those wingers cook and have enough skill to keep up. This is the draft where we are clearly building a team identity, and one I’m all for.
@avappleyard@NHLFlyers Please don’t put Tippett with those two. He will neuter them both. I would love to know MM’s advanced stats with and without Tippett on a line last year. But the eyeball test is that he was nowhere near as productive.
@cuz729@ItsAToddLife Whether it’s the culture or not everywhere, I can absolutely attest to the fact that parking and congestion is abysmal and is the reason many, including me, will at times leave early (otherwise it’s 45 minutes plus to get out of the parking lot).
@SuitableAlias@isaiah_520@dsilver88@NabeelRehman22@JHallNBCS Disagree. His pace issues aren’t about size—he just stops moving his feet with the puck. It’s instinctual. Add in poor skating mechanics (hunched, short choppy strides), and I don’t see a huge NHL future as a star player. He’ll have no space to work with.
