An 11-year-old girl in Delhi's Uttam Nagar was playing Holi on the terrace when she threw a water balloon at her father standing below.

The balloon fell onto the road and splashed water on a burqa-clad woman. They apologised to the woman.

But about an hour later, when Tarun (a relative of the girl) was returning home, a group of 15-20 people brutally assaulted him with iron rods, bricks, stones, and other objects.

He was rushed to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

This is making me so sick. Mocking the poor agrarian Hindu tribes from Sindh who have migrated to India as “Pakistanis”

They did not choose to be Pakistanis or were ever aligned to the idea of Pakistan as a country created for Muslims of India

For many years after 1947, they did not even know partition had taken place and that they had been separated from their kin in Rajasthan and Gujarat by a line in the sand

It dawned on them slowly over years, through a series of events such as border fencing, wars, blasphemy lynchings, kidnapping of their girls, an administration hostile to them for their religion, the Hindu-hating textbooks and films, proliferation of madrassas, rising control of mullahs over their Muslim neighbours, increasing Islamisation of Pakistan etc

Those who migrate, cite one of these factors as trigger. Calling them Pakistanis for their situation is so cruel

Collegium: Everything in a family

Yesterday CJI equated Same Sex Marriage (SSM) hearing to Ayodhya hearing. (Image pasted).

It appeared quite unnatural for a CJI to be so much involved in a case (a billion people's sentiments for centuries old injustice being equated to LGBTQIA+ debate) which prompted me to dig further:

1. On Twitter I saw a pic of Super Sr Chandrachud recommending Sr Kripal recommending Sr Chandrachud & so on (didn't find any denial anywhere of this fact so I assume it's correct)

2. Also came across a recent news of how Junior Kripal is being unsuccessfully recommended repeatedly by Collegium since 2017 https://t.co/5lIJx6Eept

3. Then I visited https://t.co/4PnZKIDMRn to read collegium recommendation for Sh Saurabh Kripal dtd 18.01.2023 originally made in 2017. Therefore news article as in point 2 is correct (pasted here)

4. A tweet by petitioner of SSM made me aware that his name is Sridhar Rangayan

5. On a website https://t.co/PwfvLwthWD we can see mention of petitioner and Kripal Jr on same page (pasted here)

Legal Facts:

A. SC document dated 18.1.2023 records objections of RAW to Jr Kripal's sexual partner being a Swiss national (male), it mentions that Kripal Jr himself is a gay-rights advocate.

B. Collegium states that "The overwhelmingly positive aspects of the candidature of Shri Saurabh Kirpal must, therefore, weigh in the balance."

C. Collegium has DYC and two other judges.

PRAYER:

Requesting Hon President / PM /Law Minister to check whether it's nepotism the prime motive of petition or LGBT rights as being the facade ?

Let the country know what are these "overwhelmingly positive aspects" as mentioned in collegium recommendation dated 18.1.2023 vis a vis other legal luminaries in the country?
