See a visitor or someone you don’t know at church?
Go greet them, introduce yourself to them.
For visitors, church can be insanely lonely. Surrounded by people yet not knowing a single person.
Greeting people is ministry.
Today I went out in my wheelchair on my own. No caregiver. Just me. First time in 1.5 years.
Everyone I drove past looked at me like I was lost. Which was ironic because I have not felt more found or free in years. Here’s to living.
But let’s not lose sight of the fact that Gary Patterson is one of the most important people in TCU history. He built, he stayed, and the benefits can be seen all over the campus. He is a legend, whatever happens now.
My Grandma passed away today.
A while back, we drove past a mansion she used to clean in Naples, FL:
“I remember cleaning toilets for a doctor that lived there,” she said.
Then w/a smirk, she finished: “But my son’s a doctor now.”
Rest now Grandma, from your Dream Come True.
