We’re kicking off graduation week by congratulating the young adults who completed Bloomington Transition Center programs. Last week 28 students received their diplomas at the BTC completion ceremony. BTC provides special education services for students aged 18-22.

Helping hands: Kennedy High School’s courtyard has been transformed into a beautiful outdoor space, thanks to the work of dozens of volunteers who planted about 2,000 new plants over the weekend.
Friday was a great day for landscaping. Students from Oak Grove Middle School’s Young Men’s Leadership group pulled weeds and laid down new mulch to spruce up the garden outside the school’s main entrance. The group takes on a project to improve the school grounds every spring.
In the final Melbye Monthly of the school year, Dr. Melbye highlights the many reasons he’s proud to lead Bloomington Public Schools, including shoutouts to unique and meaningful staff and student accomplishments.
