I joined Bishop Bauerschmidt, Episcopal ecumenical leaders, the Dominican Sisters, The Cathedral Choir, along with members of both communities for the Ecumenical Evensong at St. George’s Episcopal Church. It was a wonderful service for common prayer in common mission.
Today I celebrated Mass for the Eucharistic Revival Conference at the Catholic Pastoral Center. The day was centered around the true presence of the Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. May the Lord increase awe and wonder for this incredible gift!
This morning I celebrated Mass for St. Patrick School in McEwen. What a joy to pray with these young students and their teachers! May Christ continue to show His face among them.
This morning I installed Fr. Gervan as pastor of St. Thomas Aquinas parish in Cookeville. May he always be a loving father to this growing and diverse community!
Today I celebrated Mass on the 150th Anniversary of St. Philip the Apostle parish. I blessed their time capsule which will be buried and opened in 50 years. May God continue to bless this community of faith!
This afternoon, dozens of Catholics from across the Diocese of Nashville joined me in the Priests Circle of Calvary Cemetery for a special Mass in honor of All Souls Day. May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, Rest In Peace.
This evening I sat in choir and preached for the occasion of the 175th anniversary of St. Mary of the Seven Sorrows parish. It was a beautiful Mass and great attendance of the faithful. May the Lord continue to bless our work as we labor for His kingdom!
Today I celebrated the Solemnity of All Saints with Cathedral parish and University Catholic. It was a beautiful Mass in honor of all holy men and women of God!
Today I offered Mass at Christ the King for the parish and school. It was a beautiful celebration of All Saints day with some of the children dressed as holy men and women!
This morning I was invested into the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem joining the faithful members of the Nashville section of the Mid-Atlantic Lieutenancy of the order in Washington, DC. Our Lady, Queen of Palestine, pray for us.
This morning I welcomed pastors and administrators from all over our diocese for their meeting at the Catholic Pastoral Center. We are blessed to have these faithful men and women working throughout our diocese proclaiming the Good News and welcoming all.
It was great to be with the Pope Prep community tonight. May the Lord continue to bless this thriving school, it’s faculty, staff, students and their families. Go @JPIIKNIGHTS
Today I made a pastoral visit to our parishes and schools in Lawrence county. I celebrated Mass at Sacred Heart in Loretto, visited the school there then went to Sacred Heart in Lawrenceburg. May God continue to bless these young minds!
Tonight I hosted the parents of our seminarians for a gathering in my home. It was truly a wonderful evening getting to know one another. Pray for our seminarians and their families who are supporting them as they discern their vocation.
