This week's opinion column:
The move to AMC should have been a fresh start for TNA. But five months in, it feels like the promotion has done nothing with the opportunity given and has even alienated fans with some of their recent decisions. now up at @WONF4W
tomorrow i'm going to have another wild and hot take of an opinion column: wwe's stars are aging fast and there doesn't seem to be much urgency in building the next generation, all because of this mentality of people needing to pay dues
@carlosthedwarf_ i think the rule is anything that aired on mainline nick is eligilbe. they would sometimes air nick at nite shows during the day so that's how mr. ed, lassie, mork & mindy, and the donna reed show got episodes
there is a good point made at the end though....people probably want to see a doug reboot but they are nostalgic for nickelodeon's doug, which will never be rebooted unless cbs buys disney or vice versa which, who knows, maybe that will happen by 2030
he's perfect for 2020's corporate america where he has to defend hiking prices and all sorts of terrible things while he and all the rest of TKO's CEOs pad themselves with huge bonuses
wwe couldn't ask for anyone better
nick khan is very, very good at what he does. there's no question about that.
but listen to his interviews after vince mcmahon forced himself back in WWE...he's very good at lying.
to, like, an unsettling degree.
Nick Khan claims that the plans for WrestleMania 40 never changed:
“By the way, the plan was always how it ended up in Philly two years ago. It’s a pre-determined outcome in wrestling. You want to throw the fans off, you want to let things bake, and then boom, it ends up the way that we wanted it to end up. It never changed. That was just online rumors and gossip that we were changing. It never changed.
We convinced Dwayne Johnson to come back. He’s on our board of directors. It was a Tag Team Match. He’s about the same age I am, so two years ago, let’s say he was 50. He was obviously in phenomenal shape. He did everything that we asked of him and then some. But that was always the result we were looking for.”

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick is now a playable character in WWE 2K26
It comes just days after he said there are "ongoing opportunities to improve the quality of the game"
30 years ago today, WCW Nitro began the 83-week win streak, doing a 3.0 rating with a Sting & Luger vs. Steiners main event to Raw’s 2.3.
