Consistently my favorite part of the school day has been chatting with students at dismissal. That ten minutes each day is paying off as much as anything I'm doing in #physed to help build positive relationships w/ my Ss.
S waves hand furiously to ask question in #physed. I ask "does the question have to do with this activity we are starting?". S says "yes" and then attempts to tell the class a story about the white deer that their grandmother saw this morning...
I'm always amazed at how I can immediately spot the holes and weak spots while teaching a new #physed lesson. No matter how good it looks on paper there are always a few tweaks that need to be made.
Every goose within a 1,000 mile radius has descended upon the grounds of my school for goose-a-palooza 2k22. You would not believe the amount of poop being tracked into my #physed class.
Hey hey CO #physed folks and @SHAPE_Colorado! I've got a new physed T from Buena Vista reaching out to me. What is the best way to get them plugged into your awesome organization and support system? Thanks!
Teaching #physed at a new school this year. School hasn't had PE in ten years. Asked my fourth grade to skip during our warmup. No one knew what that was. Not one S. I got some work to do!!!
Just got these sweet postcards in with hello in all the languages my new Ss speak at home. I'm sending a few out every Wednesday to Ss that are crushing it in #physed
Update: emailed T and asked for clarification on their intent. "It wasn't punishment, it was just exercise" & "sorry that they misunderstood" in reference to my child thinking that the class was being punished. Blood pressure still up...
My child is in middle school and is in #physed. Daily they come home sharing horror stories. Today the class was punished for talking with running and doing push-ups. My blood pressure just went up ten points. I'm going to reach out to the T but I gotta wait a day or so.
@AlexZerbe Thanks! I'll play around with the rings for a bit and then reach out. I already bonked myself in the head with the clubs. Ha! Glad they are soft on the end...
