We’re a month away from the college basketball season. Sounds like a good time for Tim and I to share a consensus Top 16 at Bracketville …

With the 76-team bracket now officially in play … quick question: Will team No. 77 feel the same or worse than team No. 69 from previous years?

Hurts worse when you actually see it

Matt does a great job here. Definitely worth the read.

The most annoying part about the NCAAT expanding is also the biggest reason why it's going to happen: an ever-lurking threat that, if the P4 didn't get their way w/ more bids, they could blow it all up.

But that's BS. It was never going to happen. Column:

While sadly not surprising, it appears the NCAA is moving forward with its plan to expand the men’s basketball tournament to 76 teams. Simply put: More is not always better.

Another NCAA Tournament wraps up tonight in Indianapolis. Who’s your 2026 champion?

[Dave Ommen @BracketguyDave]

Impressive opening half from Connecticut. Also, a rather poor offensive/shooting half by Illinois. The Illini need to get the ball moving to open up driving lanes and need to knock down more perimeter shots.

[Dave Ommen @BracketguyDave]

The Final Four is set.
Illinois vs. Connecticut
Michigan vs. Arizona.
What a weekend ahead in Indianapolis.

[Dave Ommen @BracketguyDave]

What an ending to the Elite 8 weekend.

[Dave Ommen @BracketguyDave]

Who is your Midwest Region Champion?

[Dave Ommen @BracketguyDave]

Who is your East Regional Champion?

[Dave Ommen @BracketguyDave]

We’re halfway to next weekend’s Final Four. Illinois and Arizona will arrive in Indianapolis this week.

[Dave Ommen @BracketguyDave]

Congrats to Illinois. First participant to reach the Final Four. Been quite a season for the Illini.

If you’re not enjoying college hoops and the tournament … wow! What a journey.

Another Madness start to Friday. It’s already been a wild 26 hours.

[Dave Ommen @BracketguyDave]

Day 2 of the Madness is about to begin. Once again … Here. We. Go.

[Dave Ommen @BracketguyDave]

It’s been an 11-seed evening with both VCU and Texas advancing to the Round of 32.

Duke survives.
