You have to out-earn what you see around you.
Rent/housing, groceries, healthcare, etc.
If you're just getting started...stop complaining that things are hard, and start finding paths forward.
Yes they are hard, and they will always be hard.
What are you going to do...give up?
You do not yet know, how hard poverty will be...and that it will touch everything in your life & your family's life.
Be bitter if you want, that's fine. Carry anger and direct that energy to finding a way forward and being resolute about it.
Never give up. Keep pushing.
Life is not easy for many people, and coming from 0 is hard stuff. But if you need a wake up call, let this be yours...
Start today, and do *something*
Do not give in, and do not give up.
Not everyone needs a Ferrari, but you should have security and no one will give that to you, but you.
You may have health issues, a terrible job, barely making ends meet, or waiting for luck...but there is rarely luck you do not create.
You are on your own.
Time to make a strategy, and act now.
This is almost boring information for anyone who is paying attention. Raman failed to win her own district but has done exceedingly well in extremely poor districts with extremely high rates of homelessness.
@WinterSportsLaw@bruce_weingart Do the schools actually want enforceable rules? They complain about the need for rules until it’s their ox that is getting gored. It seems to me that the only realistic way to enforce rules is by the conferences.
Democracy dies in darkness.
Thank you to the @washingtonpost for the opportunity to share my experience in my own words. Thank you to my friends who have stood by me, and to my daughters who inspire me.

Sorsby bet over $90,000 total including bets on his own team and gets a weak 2 games but you had athletes betting $10 on various sports that got banned for life??? Of all the messed up things that have occurred in the last 5 years in college athletics this may be the dumbest!!
“Late votes are disproportionately for Democrats” struck me as believable.
“Late votes are disproportionately for whichever Democrat needs to come in 2nd to keep a Republican out of a two-man runoff” is not.
@WinterSportsLaw The schools love to pretend they don’t run the conferences and the NCAA. They keep trying to turn the clock back rather than deal with reality.
A typical D.C. politician under an ethics investigation for abusing taxpayer dollars isn’t going to beat Jon Ossoff.
What Mike Collins doesn’t say is his Republican colleagues narrowed down thousands of cases to only four that warranted further investigation—and two of those involve Mike.
That’s not a “nothing burger”. That’s a gift to Ossoff and the Democrats this fall if Collins is our nominee.
