@HungriestMind @Awe3 @sarajustnu@KHayhoe@Catrambo Things don't disappear when you burn them, the solid coal turns into the gas CO2 plus some other stuff. It's a gas but it still has mass, it's just far less dense. So, you create a far larger volume of gas than the volume of coal you started with. That gas is what's being weighed
@HungriestMind @Awe3 @sarajustnu@KHayhoe@Catrambo For every 1 carbon atom you start with, you add 2 oxygen atoms from the atmosphere to get CO2. Oxygen is also larger than carbon.
@AllenDowney I used Wise (fka transferWise) and they are great, super easy to use. I was in the UK for an extended period and they were much easier to use than any local bank.
@ChadScherrer @jeremyjkun I've used Turing.jl before and after reading the comparison to Turing in the docs well.. I still don't really understand how Soss compares for end users. Do you have examples of things that would be different or impossible w one vs the other?
@IneffectiveMath I see the issue: the filter on > 300 shots excludes many of the below average goalies. I got to the bottom of the model write-up (thanks for sharing) and saw the filterable goalie chart at the bottom and that made it pretty obvious.
@IneffectiveMath So they expect to see around 5 additional shots per 60 right in the slot so basically all of those will be high quality chances. Is that the right way to interpret this?
I was really upset that homeless people did not have access to the $1,400 stimulus check.
I just found this out. If you are homeless, you can go to a tax return office where they will file something called EIP return. They will put the money on a debit card after.
Retweet.!
@betanalpha If we're calling, sometimes we ask the person taking our order how many people they think we're ordering for. We always tell them they're right. They're never right.
