Bail is a constitutional right, but it is the Court’s duty to ensure it is treated by both defendants and their sureties as the binding promise that it is.

For the first time, the 15th Circuit Court is adopting uniform bail procedures across the district. These reforms will help ensure defendants appear in court, and bail agents are held accountable when they don’t.

In 1936, @OleMissFB traveled to D.C. to play George Washington University. My grandfather, Kimble Bradley, was the quarterback. I get it. For small businesses or folks wearing a lot of hats, it’s a big ask. But here’s why jury service matters—and why the law protects it.

History was made this week in the #msleg with the passage of judicial redistricting. I commend @bricewigginsMS, @JansenOwen, and Rep. Kevin Horan. They took a constitutional mandate that has largely been avoided in modern times and got it done.

This isn’t just a map change—it’s about meeting people where they are. Populations have shifted the landscape. Caseloads are heavier. Access to justice has to reflect the way our communities have grown and changed.

A lot of our fellow Mississippians are hurting tonight. The damage to our fellow man and property has been severe, and the storms are still a couple hours from being completely gone from our eastern border.

Please pray for all who need it. Psalm 34:15 reminds us, “The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry.”
