@maxwellstrachan Thank you, I have been waiting for someone to finally write about this. The exact same thing happened for me. In my case, I was not even allowed to appeal, let alone receive an explanation for the decision. I was a responsible user of the platform for nearly a decade.

Because I wasn’t actively hosting stays at the time, I wasn’t even told about the ban. I only found out the next time I tried booking a stay that I couldn’t log in. @airbnb Customer support was completely opaque about it.

Landed in LIR Monday w/ 2 @Hertz cars reserved. No one at shuttle area; called #Hertz, said I didn’t have a reservation & refused to let me provide my conf # to check. Hertz global cust svc promised me a car next day, never followed up. I have Pres Circle status… what a joke
