@LianosKostas Agreed. Every keeper at this level should be a good shot stopper. It’s the other attributes that set keepers apart, the main point being his long lumps upfield with zero direction. I’ve long said we’ve got our value out of him.

We can confirm that Xavi Simons has ruptured the Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) in his right knee.

The 23-year-old suffered the injury during the second half of our Premier League fixture at Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.

Xavi will undergo surgery in the coming weeks and, following that, will then begin his rehabilitation with our medical team.

Everyone at Tottenham Hotspur sends Xavi our love and support - we will be with him every step of the way.

@HLTCO Hate the fact we will have 4 managers this year. Embarrassing to say the least. A series of bad decisions all year has lead us to this. We could have been mid table comfortably with the right leadership.

@HLTCO Should never stood on that touchline. A poor decision on top of a terrible appointment of Ange. The football lacked imagination. Players ran out of ideas and if you read the reports today they were simply ran into the ground in training. Owner has to be accountable too
