The two most shocking takeaways so far from this school presser:

1) Yo-yoing is unfortunate but necessary part of the Covid school plan.

2) The school Covid protection plan hasn't been updated for either VOCs or the evidence that Covid is an aerosol issue.

Schools were always a significant source of COVID infections, though the risks were mitigable. Variants have changed this. If we insist on keeping schools open, as they have significant exposure risks, teachers and support staff must be prioritized for vaccinations.
