Author of the Bradecote and Catchpoll mediaeval murder mystery historical novels. Also writes Classic Regency romances as Sophia Holloway (@RegencySophia)
@RegencySophia Thanks to X providing the very useful tool to see where an account is based, it is now clear the fake Sophia Holloway account, using the @AllisonandBusby banner from my Amazon page, and the photo from my other genre, is based in Nigeria, off an Android app. Avoid
Out today, Feast for the Ravens, the thirteenth Bradecote & Catchpoll novel, from @AllisonandBusby . This one is set in the northernmost part of Worcestershire, and new to 'my boys' as they seek answers and a murderer
@MaliceAfore@AllisonandBusby I am so glad that Feast for the Ravens lived up to your expectations and the world of Bradecote and Catchpoll feels as real to you as to me when I write it.
One day before the official launch of Feast for the Ravens from @AllisonandBusby, and I have been signing copies at Allison's Bookshop in Tewkesbury, though I am sad to report that Ian, the proprietor, is due to retire. I do hope someone keeps this gem of a bookshop going.
So here is the cover for "Feast for the Ravens', fresh from @AllisonandBusby. Honesty compels me to say that the Wychwood was deciduous not coniferous, but this cover gives a wonderful sense of foreboding, which is perfect for the tale. Enjoy it from 18th September.
I am delighted to announce that the incomparable @themattaddis, the definitive voice of Bradecote & Catchpoll, will be narrating the audiobook of 'Feast for the Ravens', the thirteenth book in the series, with @WFHowes, out at the same time as the paperback from @AllisonandBusby
@LynneNi59944303 So glad the series gives you pleasure. The audiobook of Litany of Lies is likely but I have not been given any time frame as yet. When I have news, I will post. I think a well narrated audiobook lifts a novel to a new level.
For historical crime readers in Oz, there is an amazing daily deal on the latest Bradecote & Catchpoll investigation, which first hit shelves under a month ago. You don't have to have read the other eleven in the series ( though I think you get more if you follow the arcs.)
🐝 To celebrate the publication of Litany of Lies by
@bradecote , A&B has a sweet competition.
One winner will receive a signed copy of Litany of Lies, two pots of Foragers Worcestershire honey and a glass honey pot and stirrer.

@coloursofunison Please do not let 'devouring' give you 'series indigestion'. The books work as stand alones, but you get far more from the character arcs if you follow 'my 'boys' from the beginning, so I am glad you have gone back and are filling in the gaps.

Are you ready for tomorrow, when 'my boys' set out on a new investigation? Litany of Lies is published in hardback and ebook, from @AllisonandBusby . This time it is all based in Evesham, where the antipathy between the Abbot of Evesham and the lord Sheriff complicates matters.
If you want to find out how Hugh Bradecote became Undersheriff of Worcestershire, then here is your chance. First book of the series, so this is the point from which 'my boys' develop.
The death of #CJSansom is a real loss to historical crime fiction. His books took the history seriously and gave a great sense of the period. His legacy is a fine body of work and the character of Shardlake.
The archives at Floris have other fragrances that existed in the Regency period, including their 'new' Stephanotis, which originated in 1816. I love the idea of perfumes that have such history, and hope to use them again in my stories.
Yes, out today from @AllisonandBusby, #ToCatchAHusband, a Gloucestershire set traditional Regency romance. Angling was one of those outdoor pursuits in which Regency ladies might engage, and Mary Lound is an experienced angler, but total novice with men.
Happy Publication Day to HWA member @bradecote. Writing as Sophia Holloway, To Catch a Husband features Miss Mary Lound as she attempts to save her family estate by catching a husband. However, landing a man is more difficult than she had imagined. https://t.co/IFLQNtYAF5
#ToCatchAHusband is published by @AllisonandBusby next Thursday, 18th April, but to read my other Sophia Holloway traditional Regency romances you cannot actually just shake the book and find it changes by magic, sorry. The only 'magic' is transporting you to the Regency.
