It’s Saturday and we are in Special Session. Today, the House voted on multiple local bills including one for Cherokee County that would put the LHOST referendum on November’s ballot to eliminate homestead property taxes. Democrats voted NO!

Today, the House passed two important bills to improve public safety. SB 452 will offer enhanced retirement benefits for state troopers to support retention and recruitment. SB 570, the Human Trafficking Prevention Training Act.
