@RoryStolzenberg The first city council meeting of every year should start with a ceremony where the city announces how much they are paying to the Mark Brown Parking Fund that year. Our own Bobby Bonilla day.
Meanwhile, the city cancelled two multimodal transportation projects this week and returned over $35 million in state funding to VDOT.
Why? Because there's no local money available to supplement those funds to cover cost increases.
Didn't hear about that? Odd. Pic unrelated.
@mtgillikin $3.25M/year?? Why is this city so obsessed with spending an absurd amount of money on parking. This is after they tried to build another garage and did purchase the lot on Jefferson. It was forced now, sure, but maybe stop all other parking spending.
I'm incredibly proud of our work at @ChargeLabHQ to help commercial @enelxwayna customers salvage their chargers.
By migrating to ChargeLab, site hosts can continue billing EV drivers, monitoring their JuiceBox Pro chargers, and managing on-site energy usage. The team has worked hard to make the migration path simple, safe, and reliable.
There is still time to migrate your chargers before the October 11 deadline. Please reach out to our team to sign a ChargeLab service agreement and get started: https://t.co/g4XuCHbdW4
I hope the Belmont Bridge bike lane inspires @CvilleCityHall to continue to build protected bike lanes rather than call it job well done for 2024. Frankly, progress on "near-term" projects has been incredibly slow.
What is wrong with the much simpler and more direct: we will pay you $300 per year (or whatever) to not have a parking permit. Surely that is still cheaper than $110M to build two parking garages.
My other confusion is why require entering a commute mode in the website everyday? That makes sense if you drive some days and bike others. But without a permit, who is driving that often?
They are OK charging for a parking permit even if you don't drive every day.
Meet us at @IXArtPark TOMORROW, 5:30 to 8PM to celebrate Charlottesville Transit and Sustainability with the talented @Jaewar&@VibeRiot, eco activities, community awards & more! 🎶🌿 Plus, enter @c3climate‘s raffle to win an e-bike 🚴: https://t.co/DbR0ZRcsGL
See you there!
Not a great look for the EV industry. Enel X USA @enelxwayna is shutting down, apparently abandoning all commercial customers. No mention of even trying to find someone else to take over the cloud backend. https://t.co/H6Dm0sZI73 @brandenflasch@itskyleconner
@ZenCapitalist @enelxwayna @brandenflasch@itskyleconner Sounds like the home ones will just keep working, but without any app support. So depending on your use case you might be fine.
I have a JuiceBox as well and while I'll miss having the option to collect the data I should still be able to charge.
@Eric_L_Roe @enelxwayna @brandenflasch@itskyleconner Oh good point about the scheduled charging! I always had it in my head that charging should be scheduled by the car and not the EVSE, without really knowing why that made sense to me, but maybe this is why.
@Dadalorian13@Ford Are they going to provide membership pricing with BlueOval, or are you still stuck paying the rack rate through BlueOval and with plug-and-charge?
