@ValDotTown@stevekrouse So the value of my blob helper that namespaced my blobs with project names just went to zero. But! My helper that namespaces with branch names is still red hot
@heyitsnoah@TheStalwart@collision Agree 100% with your main point _and_ I hope agentic commerce forces companies to make more proof and fewer empty claims that waste time and tokens.
A related question: to what extent will agents make buying decisions based on the # of tokens it takes to consider?
@heyitsnoah@TheStalwart@collision Not all proof signals are rational. Peer signaling isn't strictly rational, for example. The experience of trying something and being satisfied enough is not strictly rational. A POV on MCP vs CLI vs API isn't, either. But they are all proof
@heyitsnoah@TheStalwart@collision Whoops -- I didn't imply that developer-focused companies don't do marketing. I said that I hope agents can be tailored to respond to marketing like developers respond to marketing -- responsive to proof signals over bluster. More proof, less bluster.
@heyitsnoah@TheStalwart@collision Hope agents are like developers. Allergic to marketing and only responsive to trusted signals from peers or thought leaders.
Probably a slider on that setting.
@heyitsnoah At large companies there was an incentive to build large teams. Prestige and influence came from that and led to promotion. Moreso than from shipping quality product.
