A little over a year ago, I decided to do something I've always wanted to do.

Buy a camera.

This has turned out to be one of my favorite purchases ever.

2024 was full of photos.

I hated most of them, loved a few.

I Learned a lot.

Ultimately, I fell in love with capturing the unique moments I found myself in.

From proposing to my fiance in the Caribbean to watching mourning doves after a blizzard in Wisconsin, I photographed it all.

I'm still figuring this whole thing out, but it feels like the right time to share my journey.

The Final!

This is easily one of my favorite photos of all time. My goal was to turn up the dream and moodiness to paint this duck in the most beautiful way possible.

I try to get a little better each day. My goal is to capture moments in the most beautiful way possible. Editing the photo is part of that process for me. If that requires me to spend an hour editing a single photo then that’s an hour well spent. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion though - my style of photography isn’t for everyone and I don’t want it to be. It’s not a science, it’s an art form. If someone doesn’t happen to like my art then that’s okay. There’s plenty of photographers that are miles ahead of where I am at in my journey. I hope to be great at this one day…Until then, I continue to grow.
