The Question of Selective Solidarity
When a movement needs support, old rivalries suddenly disappear. But when the same community stands alone, where does that solidarity go?
The statement by Rajput Leader Mahipalsingh Makrana has reignited a bigger question: Why is Jat support being sought today when Jats have so often been opposed, criticised or isolated during their own movements?
Solidarity cannot be a one-way street.
If you remember a community only when you need its numbers, strength or political influence, that isn't brotherhood; it is convenience.
Jats have their own history of struggle, sacrifice & mobilisation. They don't need anyone's permission to remember it & they shouldn't be expected to forget how they were treated when they stood alone.
If you want solidarity today, ask yourself: where was that solidarity yesterday?
