I've been thinking about this more and more and realized that it's not just my city that needs to improve accessibility in terms of sidewalks. When I go to visit family in New Jersey, every single time we go for walks I notice how inaccessible the sidewalk is. #RPSE210

As I've been walking to the high school I volunteer at, I noticed that curb cuts aren't everywhere among the streets surrounding the school. Accessibility needs to be a number 1 priority, not something that our local government pushes aside. #RPSE210 #disabilityjustice

This problem is seriously a major safety issue that needs to be brought up more and more. The more we talk about it, the more people are aware about it and the more likely it is to be....

Words such as "crazy" and "insane" are actually ableist. However, we use them so much that everyone thinks they're okay to use.

They're not okay to use.

You can replace those words with words such as wild, interesting, confusing, and unpredictable.

While measuring an academic building this past Monday, my class found out that it barely meets the requirements for accessibility. Society needs to realize that our world is still inaccessible to disabled people and that's not okay. We need to utilize Universal Design #RPSE210
